The documentation for this function specifies that any time value other than 5 will cause an exception, it doesn't. Although the function seems to default to 5 second bars regardless of the number given. Is this expected behavior?

What did you find on the forums? You are correct that it doesn't throw an exception, but only works with 5 minute bars...

Hey Karl,
I don't think I understood the actual intent of RequestRealTimeBars, like most people who see it for the first time I thought 'only 5 seconds! thats useless', but after reading though a couple of threads I now understand it is used to construct candles without missing any highs or lows which may get filtered out of the 'real time' data.Posted 6 months ago #
